The 33.7 metre Van der Valk motor yacht Blue Jeans has been delivered to her owner and completed her maiden voyage from the shipyard to London.
Designed inside and out by Guido de Groot, the all-aluminium yacht is tailored towards "kicking back and relaxing" with friends and family and is billed as the most complex all-custom project to date by the Dutch shipyard.
Against London's iconic Tower Bridge, Blue Jeans stands out with her custom blue hull paint by Alexseal and silver-grey superstructure.
While Blue Jeans falls into the mid-sized range of superyachts, she offers a generous amount of space with accommodation for eight guests split between an owner’s suite, two VIP cabins and a twin cabin. Further cabins can sleep a crew of four.

Interior renderings reveal a warm, yet contemporary theme, with plenty of blonde woods, discreet lighting and rich textures throughout. Alongside white Carrara marble, the design team has used liquid metal, copper and Lapis Blue marble to contribute to the elegant onboard ambience. The yacht also places increased focus on creating a light and airy feeling, which is achieved via higher-than-average overheads, which reach up to 2.5 metres in the lounge.
The main saloon is home to a bar, three separate seating areas and a dining area forward with a capstan table that can double in size to accommodate a large party of guests. There is also an unfolding sea terrace which provides an alternative spot for sitting back and relaxing.

Elsewhere, the yacht features a circular sofa area on the sundeck with a central firepit and hidden drinks storage, which is accompanied by a retractable diving board integrated into the port bulwark.
The yacht is also home to a foredeck "chillout lounge" with sun pads tucked into the bow, a U-shaped sofa and a dining table that pops up from the deck.

Other features on board include a large garage for a Carbon Craft CC130 turbojet tender, which is launched by a hydraulic swim platform. Power comes from two 2600hp engines for a top speed of 28 knots.
"Building a bespoke boat for clients who know exactly what they desire is a pleasure and a privilege," commented the yard. "It's exactly the kind of challenge we love to take on."

Blue Jeans was first glimpsed in June 2021 as she moved to a different shed for outfitting and was lowered into the water in 2022. She has since returned to the shipyard and will be transported to her final destination shortly.
