Copenhagen, Denmark-based Rand Boats has launched what it says is the world’s first electric sports yacht, the Realm 44.
The powerful solar panels on Realm 44’s T-top allow for self-sufficient adventures without the need for a generator. With an option for up to a 1.1 kWh power supply from solar panels, it enables extended off-grid journeys. The offshore performance hull delivers a smooth and efficient ride in all conditions, while the high freeboard provides extra safety and protection.
In terms of outdoor living space, the Realm 44’s central U-shaped sofa seats up to 11 people and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen behind the helm adds to the luxury with expansive floor space. Three ergonomic helm seats and a side boarding door offer great handling. The large full-beam T-top offers protection from the elements, and a convertible sunroof gives full control of sun exposure.
Indoors, the day cruiser has a panoramic lounge with large windows and skylight, an optional fully-equipped Siemens kitchen, and full-sized berths for four. The full standing height interior and ergonomic design ensure freedom of movement, which continues in the bathroom with a separate shower for added convenience.
The aft lounge has sunbathing space for five people. Beneath it, a tender garage and storage area are easily accessible, and via a stairway between the engine rooms, you can access the second gear garage — perfect for water toys, adventure gear, or a scuba station.
The low 130cm x 350cm aft swim platform enhances your connection with the water, making it easy to take a dip or launch water activities.
Rand says its boats have gained significant popularity among dealerships in the European markets since the company’s establishment in 2014 – more than 1,000 boats have been delivered over the past 10 years.
